Erie County cuts refugee funding Hey, you with the face tattoo! Thanks for the laughs. By Michael Caputo

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz and county legislators agreed this week to decrease proposed aid to two local refugee support agencies. Instantly, the reflexive left declared their intent to march on County Hall.

Western New York’s just-add-water instant protest group is often hilarious. After they attended a county legislature meeting in November, they insisted their mere presence drove majority leader Joe Lorigo to cower in the corner. Quite the opposite: Lorigo got the hearing on Syrian refugee assistance he wanted.

Buffalo area progressives are getting laughs today because the proposed refugee non-profit funding was new money. The groups never got Erie County cash before but they’ll get almost 100 thousand dollars next year. Hey, you with the face tattoo – there’s no protest. Get a real job. Or at least, shower.
