With Sheldon Silver down and the Skelos Crime Family on its way out, there’s talk of Governor Andrew Cuomo being investigated. As the Buffalo News explained in a Sunday story: There’s questions about how Cuomo’s team awarded big Buffalo Billion contracts to donors.
Cuomo’s also being looked at for how he shut down the Moreland Commission prematurely – coincidentally, as the investigators got closer to his donors and political allies.
Watch Cuomo squirm: He’s even rewriting history: His Moreland commission was a PR project, he says, not an investigation. And he’s saying it over and over, hoping it catches on. According to Casey Seiler of the Times-Union, Cuomo’s people are even erasing Moreland mentions off the Internet. Seiler said it best: Repetition doesn’t make something false, true. Somebody tell Cuomo.
