US, NY politics awash in corporate cash Ethics 'watchdogs' take over $200,000 from Glenwood Management By Michael Caputo

2015 is not different from any other year in modern times: Money makes the world go ‘round – especially in Albany and Washington.

According to the New York Post, politicians on two state ethics committees took more than $200,000 from the New York City developer at the center of the Sheldon Silver and Dean Skelos corruption trials. But they won’t return the money anytime soon – our governor took over a million bucks from the same developer and refuses to return the cash.

A column by Doug Turner in the Buffalo News today proves our political system is awash in corporate cash. Presidential candidates have already spent $500 million of it. But don’t expect politicians to be in any hurry to make changes, since they like things just the way they are.
