Even with active campaigning on pause through the holidays, the Republican presidential primary is heating up. Establishment candidates are starting to punch each other – there’s only room for one of them in this race with Donald Trump and Ted Cruz topping the polls.
Jeb Bush and Chris Christie are both attacking Marco Rubio for his Senate attendance. Bush is also attacking Christie and Kasich. It’s like a brawl in the country club steam room after Biff cheated on the 18th green. Only one of these guys will come out alive by the March first SEC Primary.
Former New York Governor George Pataki dropped out of the race, so the next establishment fight is over which candidate he’ll endorse. It’ll be a governor – I’m guessing John Kasich of Ohio.
